Camper Goodbyes

The Water Campfire was an incredible night last night, with gorgeous weather and meaningful speeches and songs. It was a beautiful end to the camper careers of our four Leaders. And today we wrapped up our last camper-only session with our E session awards breakfast. We gave out lots of awards like patches earned for stars and Most Improved patches in each activity. The rifle awards for high scores went to Spencer Hyatt for juniors, Jorge Hagg-Martinez and Tate Saltarelli for intermediates, and Jack Friedman for seniors. Tennis tournament trophies were awarded to Hunter Billmeyer for 11 and under and Miles Kritzler for 12 and up. The Deerhorn Spirit awards went to Gray Hoyer for juniors, Jorge Hagg for intermediates, and Charlie Sullivan for seniors. Deerhorn Outstanding Camper trophies were given to Santi Moreno for juniors, Connor Chung for intermediates, and Jack Friedman for seniors. The Eagles held onto their lead to win the summer of 2025! Check out full scores on our team comp page!

We also gave out several larger awards to cap off the summer. Three of them are for outstanding effort in activities. The Lloyd Richmond Sailing Trophy went to Jack Friedman. The Dr. Don Horseback Riding trophy went to Ian Federman. The David Richey Swimming award went to Jorge Hagg-Martinez. Every summer, the biggest award given to a camper is the Stinky Robinson Knife award. This year’s winner was JB Bennett. Our two counselor awards were also given out. Nate Phadnis won the Derek Harms Memorial Kindness award, for embodying Derek’s spirit of kindness and inclusion. And our Deeley Lyons trophy for an outstanding staff member was given to Casey Kearney. Videos of all of the award speeches are posted to our Facebook and Instagram pages! We are busy cleaning up camp this afternoon to get ready for our third Father Son camp that starts tomorrow. A huge thanks to all of our E session parents who shared their kids with us for the past 11 days! It was definitely a session that did not lack for energy and enthusiasm!
