Happy Deeley Day from Camp Deerhorn! We get to sleep in an hour and have breakfast at 9, then kids enjoy some free time around camp. Free choice activities included a movie in the basement of the Hall, ultimate frisbee, and lawn soccer. Spencer gave a great Words of Wisdom in the lodge at noon about helping other people. After lunch and rest hour, it was time for the big team event! The D Session team event was Chariots of Fire. Teams run all over camp, challenging “the gods” to get pieces of their Chariots, which they bring to the soccer field. Once all pieces are there, the Leaders build the Chariot and then are pulled across the soccer field! It was a close race for 1st, but the Wolves ended up victorious, followed by the Bears. The Eagles came in third, and the Bobcats finished 4th. It was an awesome afternoon of team competition! After dinner, it was time for koogee time until 8, and then we’ll end this Deeley Day with a Deerhorn campfire. Check out all of the amazing photos Cam took on our SmugMug site!
