Our Voyagers left this morning at 7am. They’ve been preparing for this trip for weeks, and they were there two weeks ago to see the Pioneers off on their trip. They’ve waited patiently and today it was finally their turn! They had a crew of kids and staff there to see them off and they were so excited to go. You know it must be a good thing if it gets teenagers out of bed at sunrise! They headed to Voyageurs National Park and will spend the next 8 days sea kayaking. We don’t get many updates from them while they’re gone, so no news is good news! We hope they have an amazing trip and that they get to see the Northern Lights that Voyagers got to see last year.
Back at camp, it was a busy day as the last full day of C session! This morning were the last three periods of regular activities as kids worked for those final stars. After lunch, kids packed up and cleaned their koogees at rest hour. This afternoon was three periods of team competition, ending with Braveheart for the final period, juniors and intermediates on DK Field and seniors on the soccer field. We had yummy tacos for dinner with doughnut holes for dessert, and after dinner kids were so excited for the counselor show. It rained briefly around 4:30, but otherwise it was another warm and sunny day to cap off C Session!
