Our camper sessions may be over, but that doesn’t mean that the fun is! Our third Father Son camp of the summer started this morning at 9am, and there were lots of dads and sons rolling into the parking lot first thing this morning! They wanted to get the party started! While the weather is a little cooler than it has been there was abundant sunshine to kick off this session. We run our Father Son camps more like a resort, without the schedule of our regular sessions. We have supervised activities from 9-11:30am and again from 1:30pm-4:30pm. Dads and sons can do activities like riflery, archery, sailing, and water-skiing with counselors supervising and instructing. Outside those activity times, dads and sons are welcome to swim, canoe, kayak, go out to the Rave, play tennis, basketball, etc, as long as dads are supervising. Sports and Games had several games of Sprout Ball going throughout the day. It’s one of our versions of dodgeball and basically the game never ends unless one person gets everyone out. Lunch today was tortellini and garlic bread and dinner is brisket and roasted potatoes. After dinner, we’ll do an meeting to introduce the staff and go over a few rules, and then play some team sports before winding down with our first campfire of this session. We have so many incredible dads, sons, and staff who are here for FS3 that it is destined to be another amazing campfire! All of our photos from this session can be found on our SmugMug site!
