We would never pick favorites between sessions, but the dads who come to Father Son 4 will tell you that we saved the best for last. Our final session of the summer of 2024 started today and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. After clouds and chilly temperatures for FS3, today dawned sunny and clear skies and it warmed to a perfect Northwoods Wisconsin summer afternoon. (Though the dads who went out to the Rave would tell you they would prefer the temps a few degrees higher!) We have a great mix of returning and new families rounding out this final session. One of the 1st year kids went running to the waterslide as soon as they hit the beach, and after one trip down the slide, yelled, “Hey, Dad! Can we do this again next year?” It didn’t take long for him to get the Deerhorn Magic!

Breakfast this morning was bacon and eggs, and lunch was chicken pesto sandwiches and potato wedges. We had activities running from 9-11:30 and 1:30-4:30 while dads and sons arrived throughout the day. After dinner tonight, we’ll have a meeting to introduce the staff and go over a few rules. After that, we’ll play some team sports like volleyball and kickball for whoever wants to join, and we’ll end this amazing first day with a Deerhorn campfire.
