And just like that…ten days has flown by and our C session is over. Luckily, the day dawned bright and beautiful after all of our rain yesterday. It was definitely much cooler than it has been, though, and we all welcome the change. We had our awards breakfast this morning to cap off C session. Lots of awards were handed out, including patches earned for stars in activities and Most Improved in each activity. High scores in riflery went to Colton Thorud for juniors, Conor Smith for intermediates, and John Delduchetto for seniors. The tennis champions were Kirill Galyavin for 11 and under and Ryan Ott for 12 and up. Deerhorn Spirit Awards went to Russell McNicholas for juniors, Parker Morris for intermediates, and George Cirulis for seniors. Deerhorn Outstanding Camper trophies were given to Will Whiting for juniors, Conor Smith for intermediates, and Fede Garcia for seniors. The videos from those award speeches will be posted to Instagram and Facebook soon. The Eagles have maintained their lead over the Bobcats after C Session. We have 34 kids who are staying over for the D session. They are headed to Wausau for the day for some trampoline park fun and then a Wausau Woodchucks ballgame. Tomorrow we will do it all over again with D session! A big thanks to all of our C Session parents who shared their kids with us these past ten days. Some of the kids who went home have been here since A session, including our Voyagers, so we know that their parents will be so excited to see them and hear their stories!
