It was another warm sunny day at camp. Breakfast was chocolate chip pancakes and bacon, lunch was grilled cheese and tomato soup, and dinner was homemade chicken tenders and tater tots. It was a banner day of Deerhorn meals! Kids had three activity periods this morning, and the third one was let out early so that we could announce teams and pass out team shirts. That’s always a big day at camp! Kids had three more activity periods this afternoon. They’ll have the other six  activities tomorrow. The only activity they have every day is Sports and Games, where we combine two activity groups to play team sports and fun made-up Deerhorn games. Today they played World Cup Soccer on the soccer field. As per usual on day 2 of a session, there was a line out the door of the store at 4:45 and we did not get through all the kids before first call went for dinner. We’ll keep going tomorrow! And since teams were announced today, that meant that tonight after dinner, it was time for everyone’s favorite camp game, Braveheart! Try to pull as many other flags as possible before yours is pulled and you’re out. The last team in wins.  For those of you new to Deerhorn, the yellow team is the Eagles, the green team is the Bears, the blue team is the Bobcats, and the red team is the Wolves. We’re psyched for a great session of team comp!
