Well, somehow here we are at the last full day of D session! It was another hot one at camp, but the sun was shining and the sky was blue, which is way better than the last day of C when it poured all afternoon. We’ll take it! This morning was the last three activity periods of D session, so kids worked hard earning the last few stars in their activities. Sports and Games played Balco Ball on DK Field. (duct taped wiffle ball and bat in outfield…one of many games your camper can explain when he gets home!) Breakfast was egg sandwiches and hash browns, and lunch was baked ziti and homemade focaccia. After lunch, kids were dismissed by koogee to walk through a giant line of no name lost and found, and then headed to their koogee to pack up. This afternoon, it was time for Attack of the Stags! We have four camp teams at camp, the Bears, Eagles, Bobcats, and Wolves…and the staff is the 5th team, the Stags. They only come out to play once a summer, but everyone has a blast when they do! The first two periods were various events around camp pitting one of the four camp teams against some AC’s or counselors. The third period was all-camp Braveheart. The younger kids took on the AC’s on DK Field, and the older kids took on the staff on the soccer field. So much fun! After dinner tonight, it’s time for the counselor show! Kids love all of the hilarious skits and jokes, and the lodge is full of laughter watching the staff at their silliest!
