And just like that, A Session is in the books! We wrapped up the session with our awards breakfast this morning, and gave out lots of awards. Kids got patches for points earned in stars, as well as Most Improved in each of the camp activities. Sharpshooter awards in riflery went to junior, Charlie Bollhoefer with a 29, intermediate Henry Mabes with a 36, and senior Ben Tackett with a 44. Deerhorn Spirit Awards went to Enzo Knabe for juniors, Ethan Krakowski for intermediates, and Payton Abell for seniors. Deerhorn Outstanding Camper trophies were awarded to Callahan Ruh for juniors, Graham Tefft for intermediates, and Will Blanchard for seniors. All speeches from the awards breakfast are posted on Instagram and Facebook. After one session of team competition, the Eagles have taken the lead. We have 59 kids staying over for B session! The kids who stayed over headed to Wausau for the afternoon at a great outdoor pool, and then a Wausau Woodchucks game tonight! They were psyched to go, because they’ve heard how much fun Chucks’ games are! According to Patrick, the Voyagers are doing great! “We have been at our campsite since about 1:00. Weather is 70 and sunny. Banner day. Day tripping tomorrow to see some interesting rock formations. Kids are happy and healthy.”
