Best for Last!

Well, here we are! Our final session of the summer is our 4th  Father Son session and we kicked it off this morning with a beautiful sunny day. Dads and sons rolled in throughout the day, some arriving right after 9am to get a full day of activities in. By dinner, the question for some families was not “What did you do today?” but rather, “What DIDN’T  you do today!” We had activities running from 9-11:30am, and 1:30-4:30pm, like arts and crafts, sailing, water-skiing, horseback riding, archery, and riflery. Michael Richmond even got a bullseye on one of his first times trying archery! Outside of those activity times, dads and sons could do other activities on their own, like mountain biking, basketball, tennis, swimming, and kayaking. And you know on a beautiful day like today, the Rave was in constant use all day! We had grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch and chicken parmesan for dinner. After dinner, we had a brief meeting to introduce the staff and go over a few camp rules. After that, dads and sons could play some team sports like kickball, lawn soccer, and ultimate frisbee. We’ll cap off this first day with a Deerhorn campfire!
