Our third day of Father Son 3 was another banner day at Deerhorn! Beautiful sunshine, cool morning warming to a perfect 80 degree afternoon, and a breeze off the lake. Today was our guided fishing day, so dads and sons could sign up for an hour with one of our professional guides. Some of them chose to go for smaller pan fish, but many wanted to go for the big guys, the muskies! Carter Dorsey was lucky enough to land one that was over 41″ long! Nice job, Carter! Activities went on all morning and afternoon, and the beach and Rave were definitely hopping all day! The craft shop is always busy during Father Son too, and it’s incredible to see the projects dads and sons create, like the artwork and bluegill made by the Whittinghams! At 4:30, the dads played the staff in a softball game. After dinner, it was time for dads vs kids vs staff Braveheart, which is everyone’s favorite! And, of course, we ended today with another Deerhorn campfire. We are so very lucky to have so many talented kids, dads, and staff for magical Deerhorn campfires!
