Adios A Session

Well, here we are at the end of our first camper session. It was a great one, with lots of new campers who definitely caught the Deerhorn bug and will be back next summer. We had an awards breakfast this morning, and we handed out lots of awards! At Deerhorn, we focus on improvement in lifetime sports, so one of the awards we pass out is Most Improved in each activity. We also pass out patches for points earned for stars. Our Deerhorn Sharpshooter awards for high scores went to Henry Cantwell for junior, with 23, Cameron Rothschild for intermediates with 32, and Jack Friedman for seniors with 40. Tennis trophies were awarded to Michael Cooper for 11 and under, and Jack Bloom for 12 and up. Our Deerhorn Spirit Awards went to Miles Fenton for juniors and Joe Kennedy for intermediates. Outstanding Camper trophies were given to Michael Cooper for juniors, Aiden Cantwell for intermediates, and Payton Abell for seniors. The Bobcats are in first place after A session, but it’s still early and the totals are close! Stay tuned on our team competition page to follow along this summer!

We have 37 kids who are staying over for B session, which starts tomorrow. They are headed to Sawmill Adventure Park in Wausau for an afternoon of trampoline fun and pizza dinner. They’ll head back to camp after dinner for a movie in the basement of the hall. Many thanks to all of our Deerhorn Parents for sharing their sons with us for A session!
