Yesterday at Deerhorn, a new game was born. The cool kids are calling it swim ball. Played inside the A-Dock, and much like baseball but with only two bases. (The two water basketball hoops) One person bats with a paddle, standing on a paddleboard. Someone else runs for them. To get the person out, you have to be standing on the dock and dunk the tennis ball into the hoop. Invented yesterday, and played every activity period today in swimming. This is one of kids’ favorite parts of camp. Yes, the regular activities are fun, like tennis, biking, and golf…but what they love even more are the crazy made-up games that only make sense to those of us at Deerhorn. Those kids had a blast all day today. The only one who doesn’t like it is Skatie. She spent most of the day barking on the A-Dock, clearly worried for the safety of these hooligans on the paddleboard!

We also got koogee pics today, which, as you can tell from the above photo…kids take very seriously. No fun at all is being had. Breakfast was oatmeal bar with toppings, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Lunch was pizza bagels, which is always a fan favorite! It was another beautiful, sunny, fun-filled day at camp!
