We made it through the whole campfire last night without rain, until midway through s’mores when it started dumping! We haven’t exactly been blessed with the best weather for FS2, but everyone made the most of it and had a great time. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes for breakfast this morning, and hot ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch. We ran a few activities this morning until 11, but most families took off after breakfast.
We loved sharing the past four days with this group of dads and sons. Happy Father’s Day to all of them and thanks to their wives for sharing their husbands and sons with us!
We have 43 kids staying over tonight for A session and they have a fun afternoon planned. We tried to go to a smaller waterpark this afternoon, but storms threatened, so we are keeping them closer to home. They had some open swim time today after lunch, and at 2:00 they went into Rhinelander to go bowling at Hodag Lanes. We’ll do Domino’s for dinner, followed by a movie/game night in Deerhorn Hall. We are surely grateful for that addition to camp! They are all excited and looking forward to 10 more days of fun.
