The day is here! We are thrilled to be able to announce the 2027 Deerhorn Leaders! We had an incredible group of Voyagers this year.  It was the largest group we have had since before 2020, and this group brought with them so much energy and enthusiasm. It also made our job difficult. Picking just four Leaders from a stellar group with years of Deerhorn experience was definitely not easy. We hope the ones who were not chosen to be Leaders will join us in 2027  to be Assistant Counselors. We’ve loved having them as part of the Deerhorn Family and we can’t wait to have them back on staff. And now we’d like to introduce you to the guys who will be leading the four camp teams in 2027! They have all proven themselves to be “Boosters rather than Knockers,” kind and loyal friends, and full of the Deerhorn Spirit! We are thrilled that these four have all signed on to help us make 2027 the best summer yet.

 

Simon Fechheimer is returning to Deerhorn in 2027 from Fort Collins, Colorado to lead the Wolves. This will be his 7th year as a Deerhorn camper.

 

 

Fisher Nichols is returning for his 7th year as a Deerhorn camper to lead the 2027 Deerhorn Eagles. He’s from Winnetka, Illinois.

 

 

Alex Stanca is from Fort Collins, Colorado and is returning for his 6th summer to lead the Deerhorn Bears!

 

Ben Tackett is from Mentor, Ohio. He is leading the Deerhorn Bobcats in his 7th summer as a Deerhorn camper!
