Today looked to be better weather than yesterday. And while we did have less rain than we did yesterday, the forecast was definitely not accurate. Today was our guided fishing day, and while some families got to go out to fish, quite a few others got shut out because of rain or thunder. Regardless, we had some glimpses of sunshine throughout the day, and the fun doesn’t stop just because it’s raining.
There were even a few brave souls who headed out to the Rave this afternoon under cloudy skies and with the wind whipping! Most activities were able to continue throughout the day, like archery, riflery, and crafts. Deerhorn Hall saw lots of ping pong and dart action as well. Breakfast this morning was country breakfast casserole, lunch was pulled pork barbecue, and dinner is the one we’ve all been waiting for. Huge thanks go out to David Flom and Chicago Cut for once again providing (and grilling) the incredible steaks we’re having for dinner. It’s been another great day at Deerhorn, and even if the rain comes back, we’ll still be able to have an indoor campfire in the lodge.
