Whew! It was a HOT one today at camp. The heat by itself would have been manageable, but it is so very humid! We are definitely spoiled up here in the Northwoods that we normally don’t have to deal with this humidity. The waterfront was a very busy place all day, as horseback riding and basketball joined the waterfront activities to beat the heat. There were lots of trips down the slide, out to the Rave, and machine gun runs into the lake. It was the perfect weather for our second group of Voyagers to head out for the afternoon for kayak basic safety. Breakfast this morning was french toast sticks and sausage, lunch was chicken tenders, and dinner was chicken parmesan. Since it was so hot today, we passed out Gatorades to campers and staff after dinner. Sports and Games played Klepton on the soccer field today, which is a favorite made-up Deerhorn game. You’ll have to ask your son to tell you all about the crazy Deerhorn games we play around here! It may have been a hot one around here, but there was no shortage of smiles in the sunshine!
