We made it! It’s the day that all of our A session kids have been waiting for. The buses have arrived, everyone is settled into their koogees, and they are off having fun in activities! We had 38 kids stay over from our second Father Son session, and they spent the day doing activities like tennis, basketball, and sprout ball. We had about 15 kids arriving by car and they joined in activities as they arrived. Breakfast this morning was pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties. Lunch was turkey wraps.

The buses arrived from Chicago around 2:30 and we were off to the races! Normally, after we get all the baggage moved and kids settled into their koogee, everyone heads down to the beach for their swim test. But today has been cloudy and cool and we held off on swim tests for the time being. So once everyone got moved into their koogees, we had a meeting in the lodge to introduce the staff. After that, we did two periods of activities to get everyone outside and running around, like kickball and knockout. It might not be quite the weather we would hope for on opening day, but everyone is excited to be here and we know it’s going to be a great session!
