Most of today was warm and sunny, perfect for a full day of activities. It rained from 4-6, but otherwise it was a gorgeous day. Sports and Games played Star Wars on the baseball field, which is a camper favorite Deerhorn game. Breakfast was scrambled egg bake and tater tots, lunch was grilled cheese and tomato soup, and dinner was spaghetti bake and breadsticks with cheesecake bites for dessert. Kids had a blast in activities all day, but the highlight of the day was the arrival back at camp of the Pioneers! Around 3:30 this afternoon, the bus dropped them off at the 1/4 mile sign so they could hike into camp. There was a huge crowd to greet them and so many hugs! They’ve been backpacking for the last week in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and they arrived home full of smiles and stories and ready for a shower and a good dinner.
