This morning dawned cloudy and cool, with rain as a definite possibility. And while it did rain briefly this morning, by afternoon the sun had come out and the day warmed to perfection. Fathers and sons stayed busy today, trying to make the most of their last full day at Deerhorn. Breakfast was delicious sausage, egg, and cheese croissants, lunch was sloppy joes and homemade potato wedges, and dinner was pork chops and noodles.
Today was our guided fishing day, and while there weren’t any record-breaking muskies caught, there were definitely a few smaller fish on the line, and families had great fun with our guides. We had our closing dinner at 5:30, and we were grateful for the kind words of our speakers, Kurt Pusch and Patrick Koehl. Nick Chu entertained us on guitar.
After dinner, it was time for dads vs sons vs staff Scalp on the soccer field, followed by another campfire full of amazing entertainment. We have truly enjoyed this Father Son session, getting to know the new families and reconnecting with old friends!
