You’re Never Too Old

It was another great day up at the Horn!  We had a few rain showers come through late morning, but activities were in full swing before and after.  We had french toast for breakfast, pizza bagels! for lunch, and roast beef for dinner. There were lots of great bike rides, and trips down the slide. There is a pickle ball court set up on court 3 of the tennis courts, and it saw lots of action today. Kids got to try their hand at archery and riflery and lots of great art projects were made. And the ski dock was crazy busy all afternoon. After dinner, it was fathers vs sons Capture the Flag, though the game ended early so that they could pack the counselor’s room to watch the Stanley Cup game. We ended our day with another great campfire.

One of the best things about Deerhorn is that age doesn’t matter.  We are often asked what the age ranges are for Father Son camp. Kids have to be 6 to attend Father Son, but we have no upper age limit. We’ve had sons in their 30s and grandfathers and uncles as well.   In fact, sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s having more fun, the son or the father!  At Deerhorn, you learn quickly that you’re never too old to take a trip down the waterslide, or be silly with your kids, or get super excited because it’s pizza bagels for lunch.  At Deerhorn, you’re never too old to be a camper.
